With oracy at the heart of the new National Curriculum and today’s world demanding confident communicators and quick thinkers, Speak Up! gives students the skills to make their voices count.

From impromptu speaking to researching, writing and delivering persuasive speeches, students will develop practical skills in voice, breathing, delivery, audience engagement and thinking on their feet. Whether you want to overcome shyness, sharpen your public-speaking skills or learn how to truly captivate an audience, this club is for you.

Importantly, the programme provides a clear pathway towards an internationally recognised LAMDA Speaking in Public qualification, with students able to prepare for examinations from the introductory grades all the way to Grade 8 (Gold Medal) at the end of the academic year.
